Mike and Brittany are great t.v. hosts up here in the High Country. They act exactly the same in regular life as they do on t.v.
We aired a three minute segement with them early on at Headwaters and had a good time doing the filming. You’ll never see Mike without a hat on. In fact, I think he walked off with my Headwaters hat!
This video clip does a great job of describing Banner Elk and Beech Mountain. During the summer there is a series of ten concerts in the park at the town amphitheater. Headwaters is a lead sponsor again this year.
Lees McRae College offers a great summer theater series and concerts throughout the year. Its great on nights of performances to see hundreds of people milling around town going in and out of all the excellent restaurants before and after the performances.
I was just over in Banner Elk today for the Woolly Worm Festival! It was cold with snow flurries, but absolutely gorgeous!
